Research

Our work is grounded in research and is shared using multi media footage and text based reports. We are growing the evidence base for the benefits of green exercise (physical activity out in nature) and dementia.  Dementia Adventure is particularly interested in participating in and supporting nationally funded academically linked research projects which both challenge the stigma associated with dementia and lead to practical benefits to enable people to live well with dementia.  We are very pleased to have the support of the University of Essex, Bradford University and the University of Southampton respectively whom we have successfully delivered research programmes with recently.

We can also design and deliver a bespoke residential workshop for your research participants to come together to enjoy a break away (in any part of the UK) and fully engage with your research topic.  Call us on 01245 269 769 to find out the various ways we can support your research work.

  1. Hi I found your work very inspiring. I have previously worked as a research nurse in 2 memory teams and am now starting a PhD in tourism and ageing. Due to my background I am aware of the need for an alternative to respite for carers and for people with dementia. My aim is to establish their need and what tourism can offer. I would like to establish links with you since i am inspired by your research. As a keen lover of green spaces (and beaches!) it gives me great hope.
