Dementia Activism with University of Bradford and University of Southampton
In May 2011 Dementia Adventure was invited to support an experimental residential workshop involving people with dementia who campaign for social change, a filmmaker, and installation artist. The workshop involved people working together to prepare for an exhibition to raise awareness of dementia. The exhibition launched on the 10th September at the British Science Festival. The exhibition website No Limits Re-Imagining Life with Dementia is now live with artwork, photos, the film and resources along with further exhibition dates. This project was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council under the Follow on Funding Scheme, Principal Investigator, Dr Ruth Bartlett, Senior Lecturer, University of Southampton; Co-Investigator Ms Caroline Hick, Fellow in Visual Arts, University of Bradford. For further details about the project please contact Ruth on R.L.Bartlett@soton.ac.uk Ruth and Caroline are grateful to Dementia Adventure for supporting this work.
